Module 3: Summary
In this module, you learned the difference between hazards and risks. —A hazard is something that can cause harm, like a broken ladder or a missing safety guard. A risk is how likely that harm is to happen and how bad it could be. You also looked at common hazards found on farms and ranches, and how to figure out which ones are the most serious.
We introduced a tool called SaferFarm, which helps you rate how dangerous something is on a scale from 1 to 5. This tool makes it easier to decide what needs to be fixed first. You also learned how to interpret a SaferFarm report and use it to come up with safety solutions. By using what you’ve learned, you can help make farms/ranches safer for everyone.
