Lesson 1: Why train agricultural community members?
Learning Outcomes

When responding to an agricultural incident, the first person on the scene is rarely a trained medical professional. It’s often a family member, co-worker, or even the victim themselves. It’s important for you to support efforts to train farm/ranch families and workers in first aid.
After completing Lesson 1, you will be able to do the following:
- Identify two contributing factors that work against the Golden Hour during farm emergencies.
- List three indirect benefits of teaching first aid to farm families and workers.
