Stratford Area Fire Department has been a long time collaborator and advocate for the RF-DASH and Ag Rescue Training programs. Recently, the department conducted their own training on two different farm emergency scenarios, silo rescue and a unresponsive patient with injuries in a self unloading forage box. As harvest is upon us, these types of trainings are increasingly important for both the safety of the agricultural community and Fire/EMS departments responding to them.
Emergency responders play a vital role in minimizing the damage to crops, structures, and the environment while ensuring the safety of both farmers and residents. Their preparedness and expertise in agricultural emergencies are essential for protecting not only the agricultural sector but also the overall safety and well-being of rural communities.
