Amanda and Justin Norr are RF-DASH trainers, first responders, and farmers based in Utah. They were invited to have a booth at the Utah Hay Symposium in St. George, Utah on February 6th. Amanda and Justin were able to meet and connect with farmers from throughout the state and offer resources about farm safety and working with first responders. They shared a flow chart to assist with calling 911 and a training flyer with pictures of farm incidents and a link to connect. They were closely with Dr. Micheal Pate, Farm Safety Specialist at Utah State University to be able to spread RF-DASH.
To learn more about Amanda and Justin and their RF-DASH activities, see the September 2023 RF-DASH Newsletter. The Norrs have really embraced the RF-DASH program and have accomplished a ton in their state of Utah. They’re an excellent example of how to adapt the RF-DASH program to fit a local region, how to take pieces of the RF-DASH program and focus on them for different audiences, and how to build successful partnerships with Extension faculty. We appreciate all they do for rural communities!
